So excited that we are nearly ready to leave. Have got my gel seat, gel cycling shorts, helmet and water bottles and the suggested ear plugs neatly packed in my bag and on Friday I will be flying down to Heathrow to meet the others. Have also set up this blog, which is progress. It goes against the grain to be flying down, but it is cheaper and does save the hassle of crossing London. I will then be meeting my companions for the first time. I do feel apprehensive. Will I be able to keep up? Despite all the practice and puffing up the hill to school every day I am still overtaken by some of the young lycra brigade (and some not so young too). Just time for one more bike ride tomorrow in wet and windy Edinburgh and that will be it, training over. Can't wait to see, hear feel and smell Malawi again. Warm heart of Africa here I come!
Well done Liz - looking forwards to hearing all about it - either on your blog (if you have the time) or when you are back. I hope that the training has paid off!
